Ricardo Viais, is the COO of AccelBio, bringing his passion to be a bridge builder towards advances in biomedical research and promotion of robust research institutions. Before joining AccelBio, Ricardo served as project manager at iMM on the EpiEpiNet (epilepsy and epileptogenesis network), an international project funded by EU with the goal do reinforce epilepsy research and awareness. At EpiEpiNet, he coordinated international partnerships involving over 100 stakeholders, 4 international research institutions and several national and international patient-oriented association in the epilepsy field. He also supported researchers in secure funding, promoting their entrepreneurial capacity and in organization on over 15 scientific and society oriented events. Throughout his 10-year experience as researcher, Ricardo has focused on neurobiology, neurodevelopment and neurodevelopmental disorders. Ricardo holds a PhD in biomedicine from University of Barcelona and, in the last years, has obtained complementary education and training on several areas of project management and Responsible Research and Innovation.
