AccelBio took part in Biomeet 2026, the annual meeting of the Portuguese biotechnology sector organised by P-BIO – Associação Portuguesa de Bioindústria. The event took place on September 23rd and 24th, 2026, at the Taguspark Conference Centre in Oeiras, and the team attended as an Ecosystem Agent.
AccelBio also contributed to the programme agenda on the meeting's first day. During the morning coffee break, our Project Manager Marta Narciso presented the BioTransfer Maturity Assessment Concept on behalf of the BioTransfer team. In the afternoon, our CEO, Bárbara Gomes, moderated the roundtable “Bridging Science and Industry in Biotechnology”. Later in the day, during the afternoon Flash Presentations, our researcher Cláudia Miranda showcased OrganTech, a platform using hiPSC-derived organoids to accelerate preclinical studies and help reduce Phase 1 clinical trial risks.
Over the two days, the team had the opportunity to engage with researchers, entrepreneurs, and industry partners on topics at the core of AccelBio’s work: translating science into real-world impact. Biomeet is a key event for knowledge exchange, strategic partnerships, and the advancement of the biotech ecosystem in Portugal, and we are grateful to P-BIO for organising it and to everyone who visited our stand, attended our sessions, or took the time to connect with the team.
