AccelBio took part in the Innovating Health Together Conference 2026 (IHTC’26), “Resilient and Sustainable Health Systems for the Future”, a two-day event held on October 27th and 28th, 2026, in Lisbon at Iscte – Instituto Universitário de Lisboa. Our Senior Translational Researcher, João Travassos Leandro, and our CSO, Sílvia Almeida, represented the team at the conference.
The conference focused on how health systems can remain resilient, sustainable, and responsive in the face of demographic, technological, economic, and environmental pressures. It brought together policymakers, health leaders, industry, startups, researchers, and investors to discuss topics such as resilient health systems and policy, sustainable models of care, data, digital and AI, personalised health and prevention, and global collaboration.
Building resilient health systems also means turning scientific discoveries into tomorrow’s therapies. At AccelBio, we work to bridge biomedical research and drug discovery, accelerating innovation through collaboration, and events like this one are a valuable opportunity to connect, exchange perspectives, and explore ways to bring science closer to patients.
